I have been working on a children’s book about a manatee that lives in Costa Rica with her animal friends, these are some of the animal drawings. The goal of doing this was to determine what style the publisher wanted, more rendered and realistic or more graphic and playful…of course the most time consuming and challenging process was selected; graphite. I don’t mind this, but it does take me much much longer to finish unfortunately. Right now I’m finishing up the graphite of the first spread so I’ll post the final soon, hopefully it’ll be finished sometime over the weekend…fingers crossed.

It took me for ever to post these unfortunately, but here they are! I just got back from a New York trip last night so that’s my excuse for these being posted so late. Of course there are other pictures but who needs to see so many versions of the same thing? Not me or you. These are from my senior thesis show at CCA and, as you can see, I also made cookies to induce people to like my illustrations. I’m hoping it worked.
